When browsing Pacific Resources for Education and Learning (PREL) websites, information about your software and hardware is automatically collected for analysis and to enhance the website experience. Information collected includes your Internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, domain name, access times, and referring website address; the PREL webpages you visit; and your city, state, and country. Information about specific hardware and software used is collected in aggregate. Your email address and other personal information is not collected, unless you voluntarily submit the information to PREL.

You may voluntarily submit personal information to PREL by completing or responding to any of the following: AskPREL form; Service Request form; Pacific Educational Conference (PEC) registration form; product order form; donation form; and opportunities for employment, contracting, or other posted opportunities to work with PREL. PREL uses the information provided to respond to your request or inquiry, or as specifically noted on the respective forms. For example, the PEC registration form indicates that information is shared with conference cohosts.

You may choose to have PREL maintain personal information you submitted for the purpose of disseminating educational information or products. You may request that your personal information be modified or deleted by sending an email to AskPREL.

At no time will PREL release to third parties—by sale, trade, or exchange—personal information for any other purpose, unless your consent has been provided. However, we reserve the right to disclose any content, records, or electronic communication of any kind (including without limitation personal information or private electronic communication transmitted on PREL websites): (i) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request; (ii) to protect the rights or property of PREL or its users, sponsors, providers, or licensors; and, (iii) acting under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of PREL websites or the public.

PREL’s websites and servers are protected using standard industry practice. Information we collect for donations and purchase transactions is encrypted using secure sockets layer (SSL). However, data transmission over the Internet is not 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee that the personal information you submit to us will be free from unauthorized third party intrusion. You, therefore, understand and agree that any time you submit information to PREL or post on any PREL website, you do so at your own risk.

PREL websites contain links to other websites. PREL is not responsible for the privacy statements and practices of third party sites, and PREL does not assess them before making the links. These other websites may send their own “cookies,” collect data, or solicit personal information.

PREL reserves the right to change, add, or remove all or part of our privacy notice at any time by posting the changes on this page.
